The Republic of Moldova will host the European Junior Olympiad in Informatics during August 16-22. Competitors from 26 countries are expected to take part in the event, IPN reports.
Minister of Education Dan Perciun said that 100 students are likely to compete for the title of best students in informatics at European level.
The students will be accompanied by 50 teachers and 10 members of international committees.
The Olympiad is intended for students from the eighth and ninth grades.
