Moldovan investigated for violating public order aboard plane

A man aged 34 is investigated for violating public order aboard a plane, insulting the crew members and passengers and outraging employees of the Border Police. The incident happened on a Moscow-Chisinau flight, at the Chisinau airport, last weekend, IPN reports.

According to the Border Police, the man was under the influence of alcohol. During the trip, besides violating public order, he tried to open the door of the plane, threatening he will crash the plane, and attempted to unjustifiably use the individual safeguarding equipment.

The criminal case against the man was started over hooliganism. He faces a fine of 4,000 to 14,000 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service or up to three years in jail. If the man is also found guilty of endangering the aeronautic security and the security of the airport, he will serve three to twelve years behind bars.
