A Moldovan citizen died and another six were hurt in the Moscow metro accident on July 15. The information was published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, which made reference to preliminary official information furnished by the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations, IPN reports.

The relatives of the killed person were informed about the tragedy. The other families will also be informed. Representatives of the Embassy of Moldova in Moscow are permanently in contact with the Russian authorities and provide the necessary assistance to the Moldovan citizens involved in the accident.

The accident happened in the rush morning hour between the stations “Victory Park” and “Slavyansk Boulevard”. The first railcars derailed following sudden braking. Twenty persons were killed and over 150 were injured.
