A Moldovan man was sentenced by Russian courts to 9 years' imprisonment for killing his domestic partner while drunk, Info-Prim Neo learned from the news portal rzn.info based in the Russian city of Ryazan. The man was living in Russia without holding a proper stay permit. He stabbed his female companion during an argument, while being under the influence. The body was found several days later by relatives, who contacted police. The man was shortly found absconding in another location. In pronouncing the verdict the court also took into account that the man stole a gun after committing the homicide.
