Moldovan suspected of killing father and his friend in Russia
A Moldovan of 18 is suspected of killing his father and a friend of his father with a hammer in Belozerovo settlement of Russia’s Odintsovo region. The Russian police put him on the wanted list, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from the Ministry of the Interior, the two victims aged 52 and 55 and the suspect, who are all from Cahul district, were working in Russia. The police presume that the men had been on bad terms for a period and on the night of November 4 the suspect took revenge on them, hitting them with a hammer while they were sleeping. The same night, the young man returned to Moldova. The bodies of the two men were discovered on December 4.
The young man was arrested by the Cahul police. He faces up to 20 years in jail or life imprisonment. As he is a Moldovan citizen, the man will not be extradited to Russia. The Russian police will send all the materials of the case to Moldova.
