The Moldovan canoeists have won no medals at the European Canoeing Championships held in the Belarusian town of Brest, Info-Prim Neo reports. The only Moldovan sportswoman ranked sixth in single canoe in final B. In men’s double canoe, light category, Alexandru Bucico and Mihail Popov took the second position in final C. In the four-person canoe, Moldova’s Alexandru Paladuta, Evgheni Poleacov, Evgheni Goreacicovschi and Dmitri Bezdetnyi finished fifth in final B. About 700 sportspersons from 32 countries took part in the championships this year.
