Moldova's Eurovision video cost 10 times less than Romania's

The video to the song “Run Away”, with which Sunstroke Project and Olia Tira will represent Moldova at Eurovision, in Oslo, had a cost of about 2,000 euros. The money was offered by a mobile operator. “Neither the state nor the Ministry of Culture offered support”, Olia Tira's producer, Serghei Orlov, told a news conference on Monday. “We don't beg for money, but we are asking ourselves: why can the Ministry of Culture finance the band Trigon or other singers, and how come that it neglects a competition like Eurovision?”, Serghei Orlov said. The video was shot in a Chisinau night club to match the atmosphere of the melody. To promote the song, Sunstroke Project and Olia Tira are planning a trip to Bucharest, followed by tours to Belgium, Azerbaijan, Cyprus. “Our performance will be changed a little bit, not radically”, said Serghei Orlov. The news conference also featured Paula Seling and Ovi, who will represent neighboring Romania with the song “Playing with fire”. Their video, filmed in 3D at a cost of 20,000 euros, will be launched after Easter. Sunstroke Project and Olia Tira will open the first semi-final in Oslo on May 25. Romania will perform under no.10 in the second semi-final on May 27. The final will take place on May 29.
