Moldova's handball team qualifies for Challenge Trophy final

Moldova's national men's handball team qualified for the final of the international tournament Challenge Trophy after defeating Azerbaijan 34-31 in the final qualifying match on Saturday, Info-Prim Neo reports. After the first half, the Azerbaijani side was leading 17-15, but the team coached by Alexandru Covalciuc managed to recover in the second half. Moldova's best scorer in the match was Anatol Bulov with 13 goals. With a maximum number of points, 6, Moldova occupied the top spot in qualifying group B. In the final, Moldova will play Faroe Islands on January 21, in Serbia. This will be the fifth final played by the Moldovan handball team at Challenge Trophy, with only one won in 2003.
