Moldova’s Post Office on July 20 puts two new postage stamps into circulation. They form part of the seven-stamp series “Illustrious Personalities”. The stamps represent poet and publicist Adrian Paunescu and politician and professor Anton Crihan, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the state-run company Moldova’s Post Office, the postage stamp representing Adrian Paunescu is issued on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the poet’s birth.
The second stamp is issued to mark the 120th anniversary of the birth of Anton Crihan.
The nominal value of the stamps is 1.75 lei. They were issued in 50,000 copies. The stamps were designed by Elena Karachentseva.
