Moldova's potential rivals in European cups announced
The Moldovan teams learned their potential rivals in the preliminary rounds of European competitions. On Friday, July 20, the draw for the third preliminary round took place at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In the Champions League, if Sheriff Tiraspol eliminate Ulisses Armenia, the Moldovan champions will meet the winner of the tie between Ludogorets Bulgaria and Dinamo Zagreb Croatia. The matches are scheduled for July 31/August 1 and August 7 or 8.
Moldova has three representatives in the Europa League. If Dacia Chisinau progress to the next round, they will meet Horsens from Denmark.
Milsami Orhei had less luck with the draw. If the Eagles eliminate Kazakh outfit Aktobe, they will next meet Belgian side Genk.
Zimbru Chisinau, should they overturn the first leg deficit against Switzerland’s Young Boys, will meet the winner of the fixture between Osijek Croatia and Kalmar Sweden.
The matches of the third preliminary round of Europa League will be played on August 2 and 9.
