Moldova’s weightlifters at Word Champs
The last Moldovan weightlifters competed Friday in the World Weightlifting Championships taking place in South Korea, Info-Prim Neo reports. Eugen Bratan (94 kg class) finished eighth with a total of 377 kg, while Anatol Caracu (94 kg class) – elevenths with 375 kg.
In snatch, Bratan lifted 174 kg and ranked sixth, while Caracu ranked 12th with 165 kg.
In the throwing event, Anatol Caraca was the fourth with 210 kg, while Eugen Bratan – the ninth with 203 kg.
Another representative of Moldova, Alexandru Duduglo (69 kg class) did not perform owing to an injury.
As many as 373 athletes from 72 countries have competed in the World Weightlifting Championships in Goyang.
