The Forestry Agency “Moldsilva” said that of the 842 leases signed in 2008-2012, covering an area of 14,900 hectares, 147 agreements for an area of 7,700 hectares were terminated by court decision and by the common consent of the sides, IPN reports, quoting a communique of the Agency.

As many as 33 cases concerning the repayment of 2.53 million lei debts to “Moldsilva” are pending in court. The bailiffs were issued with 57 orders for levying debts of 7.2 million lei.

A number of 695 leases between “Moldsilva” and other beneficiaries on 7,100 hectares of forests, which is 2.4% of the total area of forests managed, are now in force.
