More students will benefit from scholarships in foreign educational institutions

The Moldovan students will have the opportunity to continue to benefit from scholarships in educational institutions abroad. The draft law providing for the approval of the Agreement on the Central European Exchange Program for University Studies (CEEPUS IV), signed in Warsaw in 2023, was voted in the first and second readings by Parliament, IPN reports.

The agreement is to be extended for seven years.

The Republic of Moldova will also offer scholarships for foreign citizens.

During 2011-2023, 275 Moldovan citizens benefited from scholarships in the countries that signed the Agreement. At the same time, Moldova hosted 255 foreign scholars.

The Republic of Moldova has been part of the Central European Exchange Program for University Studies since 2011. The signatory countries of the Agreement are: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
