The mother of the little boy who died four days ago in a fire in Ciutulesti village of Floresti district is working abroad. The child aged only 10 months was in the care of the woman's sister. Dorina Cruc, spokeswomen for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, stated for Info-Prim Neo that the boy was sleeping in a carriage, near the place where the fire broke out. He was found dead by firefighters. The woman looking after the boy, her husband and their child aged 16 managed to go out, but could not save the little boy. A reed hut was consumed by fire in a field near Drojdieni village of Nisporeni district on Sunday evening. A vagrant in his 50s sleeping inside was killed in the fire allegedly caused by a cigarette. Three men aged 27, 32 and 36 died in a burning car that caught fire after crashing into a tree. The accident happened on the Molovata-Oxentea route on Saturday. Frogmen took the body of a 49-year-old out of “La izvor” lake. An investigation is underway. As many as 1,762 fires have happened in Moldova this year. 118 persons, two of whom children, were killed in them.
