Motor caravan FOR LIFE sets off on May 10
A number of institutions are launching the nationwide campaign “Motor caravan FOR LIFE” that will sensitize and inform the young people of Moldova about HIV/AIDS. A column of 12 vehicles together with the caravan’s team will travel along the route Chisinau – Cahul – Bender – Tiraspol – Rybnitsa – Balti – Chisinau and will stop in every town with a two-day program, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the “Positive Initiative” Network.
As part of the caravan’s program, for the first time in Moldova there will be set up mobile HIV testing points, where those who want will be able to do a swift test and find out the results on the spot.
The caravan is organized by the “Positive Initiative” Network in partnership with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Youth and Sport, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of the Interior. The event is supported by the U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the PAS Center (with a project financed by the Global Fund), the United Nations Joint Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) Moldova, the World Health Organization, and Soros Foundation Moldova.
The campaign will last from 10 to 20 May.
