MP Marina Tauber was obliged not to leave the country during 60 days. The decision on the preventive measure was issued by the Buiucani Court of Chisinau City at the request of prosecutors, IPN reports.

The measure was imposed in connection with the case on the illegal financing of political parties or election campaigns, which features the MP.

After the decision was made known, Marina Tauber told the press that she had planned a trip to the Russian Federation and this court hearing was a spontaneous one to prevent her from leaving. The decision was predictable, “being an order from Maria Sandu,” said the MP, who is affiliated with fugitive politician Ilan Shor.

 The decision pronounced by the court of first instance will be appealed to the Chisinau Court of Appeals.
