Three members of the parliamentary group of the Shor Party came today to the discussions on the package of de-oligarchization laws announced by the political bloc ACUM DA PAS. Shortly after the appearance of Marian Tauber, Reghina Apostolova and Denis Ulanov, the MPs of ACUM left the meeting hall, saying the three should go to jail as it is there where they belong, IPN reports.
ACUM bloc co-president Andrei Năstase said the representatives of the Shor Party came to discussions to make a show, as they did in the Parliament constitution meeting. The representatives of this party are criminals who should stay in jail, not in Parliament. ACUM remains open to all the MPs who plead for the de-oligarchization of the state. The politician called on these to take attitude to the political, economic and social situation in the country that worsens daily.
For her part, another co-president of ACUM Maia Sandu said the package of anti-oligarchic laws proposed by the bloc is designed to send such persons as those who came to discussions today to prison, as they do in all the civilized states. Where the law works and there is the rule of law, the people who commit illegalities and steal public funds are jailed and have their property confiscated. The MPs of ACUM during the next few days will be still waiting for proposals for improving the suggested package of laws.
Shor Party vice president Marina Tauber said the party she represents came to the meeting with concrete proposals for breaking the political stalemate and it is regrettable that the bloc ACUM refused to discuss with them, showing once again that their real goal is not to solve the problems faced by the people, but to take populist actions. The Shor Party is for immediately starting discussions on the package of laws proposed by ACUM and on the package suggested by the Shor Party. “We came to take part in a constructive discussion because they are in the opposition, as we are, and we should work together ,” stated Marina Tauber.
Asked about the Shor Party’s position on the formation of an alliance with the Democratic Party, Marina Tauber said the MPs of the Shor Party will form a constructive and responsible opposition and will support the bills that are for the people’s benefit, no matter what parties propose them.
On April 1, MPs of the political bloc ACUM announced they will not take part in the consultations scheduled by President Igor Dodon for April 2. However, they invited the MPs who are not controlled by the oligarchic regime to have constructive discussions on the improvement, adoption and implementation of the package of de-oligarchization laws proposed by ACUM the same day. The Party of Socialists didn’t react, while the Democratic Party said the Party “Action and Solidarity” and the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”, by inviting the MPs who support the country’s de-oligarchization to discussions, try to justify a new decision to reject the dialogue on the formation of a parliamentary majority and to further block things in the country. This way the two parties take one more step towards triggering snap elections, said the Democratic Party’s spokesman Vitalie Gamurari.
