Music, poetry and meetings with writers on Romanian Language Day
A series of cultural events are organized today August 31, on the occasion of national holiday “Our Language”. Head of the Chisinau Municipality’s culture division Lucia Culev told Info-Prim Neo that children and adults will get the chance to participate in a meeting organized with writer Spiridon Vangheli, during which they will be involved in games, contests, workshops and other surprises.
Lucia Culev said the organized events were but an act of culture meant to promote love for the mother tongue. In the evening, a concert of good music will be organized, during which several young singers will perform and some collaborations between local and Romanian artists will be presented.
Cultural manifestations in the capital will start at 10 AM, with laying of flowers at the monument of Stephen the Great and the Holy, speeches, allocutions, music and poetry recitals in the Public Garden Stephen the Great and the Holy.
Beginning at 11 AM, in the Public Garde, writer Spiridon Vangheli invites children and adults at the event “In Guguta’s country”, with games, contests, workshops, gifts and prizes, etc.
At 12 AM, the 21st edition of the International Book Salon will be inaugurated. At 2 PM, the colloquium “Language, culture and history east of the Prut. Self-identification and future” will be organized by the magazine “Romanian Language” at the House of the Romanian Language “Nichita Stanescu”.
At 3 PM, the Salons of Moldova 2012, a contest-exhibition organized by the Visual Artists Union of Moldova, will open at the Exhibition Center “Constantin Brancusi”.
The day will end with a concert dedicated to the Romanian Language Day in the Great National Assembly Square, where the following artists will perform: the “Lautarii” Orchestra conducted by Nicolae Botgros, singers Adriana Ochisanu, Ion Paladi, Lidia Bejenaru, Nicolae Glib, Ioana Capraru, Nicolae Furdui Ianco, as well as the Advahov Brothers’ municipal orchestra of folkloric music and singers Zinaida Julea and Igor Cuciuc.
The concert will continue with the performances of Nica Crulicovschi, Anatol Marzenco, Lidia Botezatu and Radu Dolgan, Anatol Dumitras, Silvia Grigore, Ricu Voda, Anastasia Lazariuc, Cristi Aldea-Teodorovici, Adriana Rusu, Catharsis, Akord, Pasha Parfeni, Alex Calancea band, Tania Cerga, Natalia Barbu, Catalin Josan, Romanian band Vunk and others.
