Nameless man found with throat and wrists slashed
A nameless man in his mid 20s was found by a police patrol in a forested area in Chisinau's Buiucani district with his throat and wrists slashed, Info-Prim Neo learned from the Chisinau Emergency Service.
A spokesperson for the Service said the cuts were not deep enough to kill the man instantly, but he lost much blood before the police found him and suffered a medium-degree hemorrhagic shock. The police do not rule out it was a suicide attempt, but they also investigate other versions.
Another nameless man, believed to be in his late 20s, was resuscitated by an ambulance crew called to an apartment on Maria Dragan Street after he took an overdose of injectable drugs. The paramedics said the man was in a third-degree coma and could have died if not for the emergency intervention.
Elsewhere, a 22-year-old woman attempted to commit suicide with a combination of alcohol and pills and was admitted to the Holy Trinity Hospital for detox. The same hospital received a family which got sickened after eating mushrooms gathered in the woods.
