The Government is to examine it and submit it to Moldova's Acting President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Mihai Ghimpu, who will make a decision over it. Under the legislation, the final decision regarding the dismissal of the National Army commander is taken by the Supreme Commander. The reasons for the resignation are not yet known. General Ion Corobcean contributed greatly to the development and reformation of the National Army in accordance with the Euro-Atlantic standards, Alexandru Josan said.
