National Division teams warm up before resuming premiership matches
As the mid-season break in the Moldovan football premiership continues, four National Division teams engaged in friendly matches on Wednesday, February 3, in which Dacia Chisinau defeated CSCA-Rapid Ghidighici 1:0, and Zimbru Chisinau were held to a goalless draw by Dinamo Bender, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Habib Gock Mekang of Cameroon scored the only goal for the Dacians. The Chisinau-based club offered trial periods to a number of players, including former Dacia strikers Dumitru Gusila and Sergei Ciuico, ex-Moldovan international Iulian Bursuc, midfielder Sergei Tanurcov, and striker Maka Koum of Cameroon.
Dacia's next friendlies are scheduled for February 6 and 8, when they will play Dinamo Bender and Zimbru Chisinau, respectively.
Wednesday's friendly was the third consecutive draw for Zimbru in this mid-season period. In the previous matches the club coached by Ivan Tabanov drew with FC Tiraspol (1:1) and Olimpia Balti (1:1).
In the exhibition match with Dinamo, Zimbru fielded five players on trial. Three of them are from the internal championship: defenders Serghei Orlov and Serghei Syrbu, and midfielder Valentin Furdui; the remaining two are foreigners: Nikita Kolyaev, on loan from Dinamo St. Petersburg, and Oleg Popov from Dniester Ovidiopol.
