The national futsal team of Moldova failed to reach the second qualification round of the 2012 European Championship. They lost the last group match to hosts Turkey 4-2, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Moldovans opened the score through Oleg Hiloti, but a Cihan Ozcan brace gave Turkey the lead before the break. In the second half, Moldova’s Denis Coicev leveled the score. Ultimately, goals from Yildirim and Saglam brought Turkey the victory. As a result, the hosts qualified for the next round. With only one victory, Vladimir Vusatyi and his players finished third, behind Montenegro. The latter defeated Switzerland 5-2, who participated for the first time. Moldova will have to play an additional qualifying round in order to reach the European Championship finals.
