National Integrity Commission will receive less money next year

The budget of the National Integrity Commission in 2014 will be over 4 million lei, by 1 million lei less than this year. The decision on the commission’s budget was adopted by Parliament on December 12, IPN reports.

The head of the commission on economy, budget and finance Veaceslav Ionita said that the National Integrity Commission last year had a larger budget because it incurred investment costs.

About 2 million lei will be used to pay salaries to the 26 employees. The costs for goods and services were assessed at over 1.5 million lei, while for service trips – at 127,000 lei.

The National Integrity Commission verifies and controls the income and property statements of persons holding public posts, judges, prosecutors, civil servants and other persons occupying executive posts.
