The protection of the person, society and the state are the key goals of the national public order and security strategy for 2017-2020 that was endorsed by the Government.

The strategy envisions the improvement of the quality of services for ensuring public order and the people’s security, including by involving civil society in fighting offenses. The objective of the strategy is to enhance the police professional development system and to institute a modem public order and security system that can increase the population’s confidence and can consolidate society, said the bill authors, quoted by IPN.

The strategy defines the internal and external threats to pubic order and security and solutions for developing the crime prevention capacities. A series of measures are proposed in this regard, including to optimize the public services and eliminate bureaucracy, to improve the traffic accidents documentation process by using information technology, to develop the capacities for fighting cybercrime, etc.

The costs associated with the implementation of the strategy will be covered with state budget funds and funds provided by the development partners.
