The National Wine Day on October 11 and 12 will be more glamorous this year than before, reads a communique by the Economy and Trade Ministry, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The holiday will be inaugurated in Chisinau's Great National Assembly Square, where the participants will set their stands. The next day, manifestations will be held in Moldova's districts, to be attended by officials from the central and local administrations. The National Wine Day is observed each year on the second Sunday of October (this year on Saturday, as well) and is a gathering of the Moldovan winemakers extolling their attainments and holding cultural events interwoven with Moldovan traditions. The holiday was first organized in 2002 and it is meant to promote the country's image, the wine production and tourism.
