The Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices authorized a new type of insulin for diabetics. This is the medicine NovoRapid Penfil made by the Danish company Novo Nordisk. It also authorized new medicines for people suffering from cancer, such as Ogivri, which is used to treat breast and gastric cancer. This is produced by Mylan S.A.S of France and was authorized by the European Medicines Agency, IPN reports, quoting the national medicines sector regulator.
The expert commission authorized a total of 129 new medicines, including a new type of general anesthetic made by the Swiss company AbbVie Biopharmaceuticals GmbH.
Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices director general Eremei Priseajniuc said that given the current challenges and risks related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the necessary medicines should be supplied so as to ensure the country’s pharmaceutical security.
