The contest to fill the post of director of the public television channel Moldova 1 will take place in accordance with new conditions. The chairman of the Supervisory Board of the national public broadcaster Teleradio-Moldova Eugeniu Rybka has told Info-Prim Neo that the conditions refer mainly to the candidates’ working experience in television, which should be of minimum 5 years, and in institutional management, of minimum one year.
If the members of the Supervisory Board reach a compromise as regards the aspects that are to be modified, the contest will be opened on June 6. Otherwise, the discussions will go on and a new opening date will be set when all the details are agreed.
The post of Moldova 1 director became vacant after Angela Sarbu left it in March. The contest held in May failed as none of the candidates won the necessary number of votes. One of the 12 candidates withdrew shortly before the voting. In the first and the second rounds of voting, two Supervisory Board members of the five attending voted for Vitalie Cojocari, a 28-year-old man working as a reporter at ProTV Bucuresti, while three members for Moldova 1 vice director Efim Josanu.
