The Superior Council of Magistracy has announced a new contest to fill the vacancy of president of the Comrat Court given that judge Sergey Pilipenko, who was fielded for this post, didn’t garner the necessary number of votes, IPN reports.

A new contest will be held to choose a candidate for the post of vice president of the Straseni Court as judge Valentina Kriuchkova couldn’t obtain the number of votes needed to be voted in.

New contests were also announced to fill the vacant posts of judge at the courts in Hancesti, Orhei, Edinet (head office in Donduseni), Drochia (head office in Glodeni), Cimislia and Causeni (head office in Causeni) given that the judges admitted to the previous contests were short of votes.
