New products manufactured at Free Economic Zone “Valkanes”

The first batch of construction nets from polymers and glass fiber was produced at the Free Economic Zone “Valkanes” by the resident company Terra impex SRL, which is with fully Romanian capital, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Economy, production halls, an artesian well and a water treatment station had been built on a ‘greenfield’ territory during six months. There was installed a power transformer and constructed access ways. The resident company so far has invested about €2 million in the construction of production facilities and the purchase of new equipment. A number of 150 persons work at the plant in three shifts. They are residents of Vulcanesti and Cahul districts. When the maximum production capacities are used, the sales will total at least 100 million lei annually. If the investment project is successful, the investor will extend its capacity at least two times. The new products are in demand on the construction materials markets of many countries, including Moldova. The largest part of the production will be exported to the EU.
