New Russian ambassador visits Speia village
The new Russian Ambassador to Moldova Farid Muhametshin visited Speia village of Anenii Noi district, where he took part in a ceremony of reburying 18 Soviet Army soldiers, whose bodies were found by the Russian Historical Patriotic Club at the Serpeni bridge head, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Russian Embassy in Moldova.
The ambassador laid flowers at the monument to Soviet soldiers and visited Saint Dumitru Church that was built in 1911 and was blessed by the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Alexy II.
The ceremony of reburying the Soviet soldiers was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine and the Embassy of Belarus.
