The prosecutor from Nisporeni who was caught taking bribe last weekend was put under arrest for 15 days. The Prosecutor General’s Office asked for 30 days of arrest, but the Buiucani district court issued an arrest warrant for 15 days only, IPN reports.

The prosecutor is investigated for passive corruption. Legal action against him was taken after a person complained that the prosecutor asked €1,000 from him for closing the criminal case in which he and his partner were accused of robbery.
