No queues at customs within Martisor period
The number of customs inspectors at the most congested border crossing points will be increased from February 25, for the period of Martisor festival.
“The number of passengers will be calculated every 24 hours. The number of border inspectors will be raised depending on the results so as to prevent the formation of queues at the customs posts,” Daniela Manzatu, press officer with the Border Guard Service, told Info-Prim Neo.
There will be made available additional equipment for checking and validating documents such as computers and portable laboratories.
The number of persons who come to Moldova during the festival, between March 1 and 10, is much larger than usual. About 300,000 persons, mainly artists and special invitees from different countries, enter Moldova in the period.
