No violations were detected in the process of recruiting, admitting, training students, completing integrated higher education in medicine and pharmacy and issuing diplomats, said the inter-ministerial commission that examined the process of teaching international students at the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemițanu”, IPN reports.
The members of the commission examined all the personal files of foreign students of all the faculties, the documents of study based on which the students were admitted to the University, integrated higher education in medicines and pharmacy, organization of graduation exams and issuing of documents of study.
The commission ascertained that the process of study at the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemițanu” takes place in accordance with the current normative documents and internal regulations approved by the University’s Senate. The University does not accept the transfer of students from other national or foreign universities regardless of the program of study and academic standing. The procedures for issuing documents of study do not allow for vulnerabilities in the process and exclude the possibility of amending or supplementing the lists of graduates, making thus the falsification of documents of study impossible.
The inter-ministerial commission worked at the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemițanu” during December 5-15. The commission was created after the Russian language version of the portal “Vesti Israel” (“News Israel”) published an investigation showing a number of doctors, interns and pharmacies were arrested by the Israeli police for holding false diplomas. According to the investigation, these illegally obtained the diplomas, including from the Moldovan university.
According to “Nicolae Testemițanu” University, over 3,000 foreigners from 30 states graduated from it in 1994-2018.
