The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family to formulate proposals for offsetting the consequences of the rises in the prices of products and services. In a meeting of the Cabinet, Labor Minister Valentina Buliga said that the number of persons who applied for compensations for heat has increased three rimes as a result of a wide information campaign, Info-Prim Neo reports. ”We are examining the draft state social insurance budget for 2011. There were submitted a number of proposals that are being considered. We will see what money can be used to diminish the burden of these rises on the socially underprivileged groups,” said the minister. As many as 495,000 persons benefited from monthly compensations of 260 lei per person in November and December. Another 172,000 persons received nominal compensations.
