The municipality increased the number of units of transport running on bus and trolleybus routes as a result of the difficult situation created in public transport following protests staged by minibus drivers, IPN reports.
According to the Chisinau City Hall, the number of trolleybuses running on routes No.1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 13, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 28 was raised by 28 units of transport, to 254.
The bus routes No 3, 5, 20 and 37 were supplemented by 8 units of transport. As many as 87 buses are travelling on these routes in Chisinau today, July 10.
The drivers of minibus routes No. 112, 127, 140, 155, 160 and 162 continued to protest. It became known that they forced drivers from other minibus routes to stop work.
The minibuses of routes No. 117, 159, 113, 116, 169, 109, 114, 106, 108, 137, 148, 152, 110, 132, 120, 120, 165, 175, 193, 107, 154, 157, 190, 151, 103, 130, 145, 101 and 131 run with deviations from the schedule.
