Number of electronic tax documents submitted by taxpayers, on the rise

In the first nine months of this year, the number of electronic tax documents submitted to the State Tax Service by taxpayers, legal entities and natural persons, through the electronic services offered by the SFS information systems, is on the rise. The increase constitutes 8.5%, compared to the same period of the year 2018, and the figure has exceeded 2.4 million, IPN reports.

Statistical data of the Centre for Information Technologies in Finance (CTIF), which acts as technical-technological administrator of the SFS information systems, shows that the number of tax documents submitted in electronic format by legal entity taxpayers has risen. Compared to nine months of 2018, the growth constituted 4.2% and made up over 1.7 million. The number of documents submitted by individual taxpayers, has also increased by 36.2% and constituted about 341.2 thousand.

According to the same data, in the reference period, the total number of taxpayers who accessed electronic tax services increased, compared to the end of 2018, by about 10% and made up over 268.9 thousand, of which 158.2 thousand are legal entities and 110.7 thousand - individuals.

Taxpayers mostly accessed the following services of the computer systems: Electronic declaration for natural persons, Electronic declaration for legal entities and e-Invoice. In nine months of 2019, the electronic declaration service for individuals has been accessed over 4.5 million times, while the electronic declaration service for legal entities and e-Invoice - 2.7 million and respectively 1.7 million times.

Legal entities and natural persons carrying out entrepreneurial activities can access the electronic tax services according to the contract on connection to these services concluded with CTIF. In order to access the said services, the representatives of the mentioned taxpayers, initially, will have to prove their identity, in order to gain access to user accounts, on the portal www.raportare.gov.md or www.servicii.sfs.md through MPass governmental service of authentication and access control, using the electronic signature.

Individuals wishing to use the electronic tax services will be authenticated on the portal www.raportare.gov.md or www.servicii.sfs.md  through the MPass service with the help of the pre-emptively obtained electronic signature, after which the system will automatically create the user accounts. The electronic signature can be obtained from CTIF or from accredited service providers in the field of qualified advanced electronic signature.
