Old woman killed in fire
A 95-year-old woman died from carbon monoxide poisoning in a fire that happened in a house in Hancesti town.
Emergencies Service spokeswoman Liliana Puscasu has told Info-Prim Neo that the old woman was found dead in her bed that was destroyed by flames. The cause of fire is not yet known. It might have been started by a burning candle.
A production workshop in Sarata-Noua village of Leova district burned to the ground. The damage caused was estimated at 30,000 lei. The fire broke out as a result of incorrect use of electrical appliances.
A Ford-Sierra car caught fire in Briceni town. The fire was put out, but it managed to damage a part of the car. Specialists say the fire was caused by a short circuit.
