One more person diagnosed with COVID-19 died, taking the death toll from the novel coronavirus in Moldova to six. The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection in the evening of April 2 announced that 82 new infections with COVID-19 were detected after processing 332 samples. As many as 505 people have been diagnosed with the virus in Moldova so far, IPN reports.

After the meeting of the Single Command Center for managing the COVID-19 pandemic, Minister of Health Viorica Dumbrăveanu said the person who died was 53 and suffered also from other diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension and overweight.

The official noted that five of the new 82 cases of infection were imported, while 77 persons contracted the infection locally.
