Online platform providing update information on COVID-19 to be launched today

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and the National Public Health Agency are to launch an online platform that will present the updated picture of infections with COVID-19, Minister Viorica Dumbrăveanu announced in a press briefing, being quoted by IPN.

According to the minister, the platform will contain desegregated data about the novel coronavirus. The United Nations Population Fund and the World Health Organization provided assistance in developing the given platform.

The minister noted it is important that the people inform themselves from official sources. Viorica Dumbrăveanu said the country’s citizens united in this difficult period. She approved of the concrete actions taken by civil society, private individuals and business entities that provide the healthcare system with food products, units of transport or consumables.

“Only by combining forces, we can achieve an efficient result. In this connection, I repeat the call: Listen to the doctors’ advice and be responsible as only together we can help the Republic of Moldova overcome this situation,” noted the minister.

A number of 49 cases of infection with COVID-19 have been confirmed in Moldova so far. An infected woman died. Seven patients are in a serious state.
