Only two of five men killed in accident in Russia are Moldovans
Two citizens of Moldova died in the November 29 accident that happened in Leningrad region in Russia, not five as reported earlier. Both of them are from Singerei district. They are aged 23 and, respectively, 27, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova.
The names of the two Moldovans will be made public after their relatives are notified of the tragedy. The other three men killed in the accident are citizens of Russia.
The Embassy of Moldova in Russia will help the families of the two Moldovans to validate the documents needed to repatriate the bodies.
Earlier, Info-Prim Neo quoted the Russian news agency Ria Novosti as saying that all the five men who lost their lives in the accident are Moldovans.
The five men traveled by a VAZ car. In Tosno district of Leningrad region, the car collided head-on with a truck. As a result of the collision, the two vehicles caught fire. The five men died on the spot, while the truck driver was unhurt. According to the Russian police, the VAZ moved along the opposite lane.
