Over 100 new jobs for IT specialists

More than 100 workplaces are provided by the European IT services company Endava, which is expending in Moldova by opening a new office in Chisinau. In a press release, the company says the opening of this office represents an important stage in the development of the IT sector in Moldova and offers opportunities for the young people who pursue a career in IT, IPN reports.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Technology Dumitru Parfentiev welcomed the extension of the company, saying the ICT Ministry is making concerted effort to ensure optimal conditions of activity for the IT companies and to attract new investments to the sector. The introduction of the common tax of 7% of the sales will considerably reduce the time and resources needed to administer taxes and will leave no room for interpretation of the legislation and for bureaucracy,” he stated.

In the same connection, Endava Chisinau manager general Kumail Jetha said he noticed the potential of the IT market of Moldova several years ago: the talent in the technical area is at a high level; labor ethics are very good, while the IT sector develops from year to year.

Endava operations director Robert Spitall said that IT solutions for foreign clients that appreciate tradition in the higher technical education are delivered from Chisinau. Moldova signed the Association Agreement with the EU as part of the plan for coming closer to the EU, this being a very important step that strengthens the commitment to the IT sector of Moldova.

Endava is a top IT services company with headquarters in London and with offices in Chisinau, Bucharest, Cluj, Iasi, Belgrade, and Skopje. The company started to work in Moldova 15 years ago and has over 350 employees here.
