The Migration and Asylum Bureau last year issued 1,440 permits of stay for Ukrainian citizens, 532 of which were permanent, while 908 were temporary. In the period, there were received 134 applications for asylum, IPN reports.

According to the data of the Migration and Asylum Bureau, 20 citizens of Ukraine have filed applications for asylum this January.

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees announced that more than 11,000 Ukrainians submitted applications for protection to a number of EU states. Among the CIS states, the largest number of applications for international protection was filed to Russia – over 245,000.
