Over 14,000 people helped by Employment Agency to find a job so far this year

Since the beginning of the year, the National Employment Agency (ANOFM) placed over 14,000 people in the labor market. As many as 7,226 or 55.1% of them are women. 17% of those employed are of pre-retirement age: 55-63 years. 182 are people with disabilities, IPN reports.

"My colleagues from the local employment subdivisions work hard and the results can be seen. I’m proud of this new record reached by ANOFM and I hope that we will continue to offer a secure job to as many citizens as possible," said Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu.

Of the total number of the unemployed, most people found a job in the fields of agriculture, industry, construction, trade, transport and storage, public administration and defense, education, healthcare or social assistance.

The Agency recommends jobseekers to apply to the local employment subdivisions in order to benefit from assistance in finding a job. The services are free of charge and are available to both the unemployed and employed people who want to change jobs.
