The Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime detained a truck with over 16,000 liters of ethyl alcohol without documents of origin. The vehicle and the merchandise will remain confiscated until all the circumstances of the case are established, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Center. The MAN truck was stopped by anticorruption officers as a result of investigation measures. The vehicle was traveling on the Edinet-Ocnita road. The driver could not present any documents for the transported goods. The 84 plastic barrels with ethyl alcohol conveyed were estimated at about 370,000 lei. Measures are being taken to determine the origin of the merchandise. The content of the barrels is being examined.
