More than 1,700 people donated blood for the victims of the Bucharest nightclub fire within a campaign staged by the Ministry of Health in concert with the National Blood Transfusion Center on November 1-6, IPN reports.
Among the donors were servicemen, teachers, residents and students of the State University of Medicine and Pharmaceutics “Nicolae Testemitanu” and other persons.
A part of the donation will go to supplement the national store of blood products and to provide blood transfusion assistance to patients of national medical-sanitary institutions.
On November 2, Moldova donated about 550 kg of blood products to the value of 1.7 million lei to Ministry of Health of Romania, intended for the victims of the fire that happened in “Colectiv” nightclub in Bucharest on October 30.
