Over 2,500 individuals declared disposable incomes of over 500,000 lei
More than 2,500 persons have submitted statements showing the incomes disposable on January 1, 2012 to the local fiscal services. Of them, 2,237 had sums of 500,000 to 1 million lei, while the others had over 1 million lei, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The submitting of such statements by persons who had over 500,000 lei or the equivalent in other foreign currency on January 1, 2012 forms part of the indirect methods and sources for assessing private individuals’ incomes that will be implemented from 2013. Confirmative documents are not needed when the sum is lower than 1 million lei. For sums larger than 1 million lei, such documents are required. The declaring of these sums is needed for not calculating them when indirectly assessing the incomes and for not taxing them.
The available money can be confirmed by an extract from the bank account. Gheorghe Cojocaru, deputy head of the State Main Tax Inspectorate, said the persons who keep the money at home or elsewhere were offered the possibility of depositing it with banks by November 1, 2012 so as to present confirmations afterward. A legislative initiative with amendments to the Tax Code is being examined to extend this deadline until December 28, 2012 as not all the people managed to deposit the money by November 1.
“If the initiative is adopted by Parliament, the State Main Tax Inspectorate will issue an order to declare December 31 as workday for fiscal employees who receive such income statements,” said Gheorghe Cojocaru, adding that December 31 is the deadline for presenting these income statements.
