Over 30 robots, some of the reciting poems, others dancing or serving coffee, or an interactive mirror that allows selfies with fairytale characters, are on display at Innovatic Fest Roboshow, hosted by the National History Museum starting today.
Victoria Mustață, a communication specialist with the organizing company, said the exhibit stars the world-renowned 2.2 meters tall entertainment robot Titan, developed by the British company Cyberstein; and the dancing version of the Russian Promobot. The robot Thespian will treat visitors to poetry readings, including in Romanian, as Coffee Bot will offer its own treats. The program includes a number of interactive activities to engage the public as well as robot assembly workshops.
Spider robots will showcase their ability to overcome obstacles, and Aibo the robot dog from Los Angeles will entertain visitors like a living puppy. Visitors will also be able to reach a virtual world where they can interact with dolphins, elephant, sharks and dinosaurs.
Cornel Bologan, one of the organizers, said all the exhibits will remain throughout the expo until May 10, except for Titan, who will stay in Moldova only until March 10. It will entertain the public three times a day in 30-minute-long sessions.
The Fest also features an interactive mirror from Korea which lets you take printable selfies with fairy tale characters.
Entrance fees for Innovatic Fest Roboshow range from 90 to 450 lei.
