Over 300 persons protest in front of Palace of Republic
More than 300 sellers of flowers, meat and secondhand mobile phones have staged as protest in front of the Palace of the Republic this morning, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“We have been gathering here for over a month to ask the MPs to resolve our problems. We want to pay the patent and work legally as we do not want to contribute to the underground economy. We put forward our proposals in April, but the Prime Minister said he was against the patents and will make everything possible to prevent their restoration,” said the chairman of the Small Business Association Eugen Roscovanu.
The protesters urged the MPs to go with them to stalls and sell without patent so as to see in what situation the small traders are.
The protesters chanted “Shame” and “We want to work at home”.
According to the Small Business Association, protests will be staged before the Parliament’s sittings every Thursday, until they manage to convince the MPs to deal with their problems.
