A number of 140 private homes, over 200 apartments in three apartment buildings and 20 companies remained disconnected from the gas supply at 2pm, IPN reports. The gas supplier SA “Moldovagaz” in a press release says trees downed by winds and snow fell onto gas pipes and damaged these.

As many as 135 domestic consumers are disconnected in the area served by the gas distribution company “Cimislia-Gaz”, 49 in that served by “Cahul-Gaz” and 31 in that served by “Gagauz-Gaz”.

Following failures in the supply of electricity, 43 gas stations of the 80 run by SRL “Moldovatransgaz” switched over to autonomous power supply systems.

Works to remove the faults are performed in all the affected areas so as to reconnect the consumers to the gas distribution networks by evening.
