Over 5,000 budget-funded places for bachelor’s degree studies

Moldovan universities this year will enroll 5,307 students for bachelor’s degrees studies with budget funding. As many as 2,864 candidates will be admitted to budget-funded master’s degree studies, while 420 to residency and clinical secondary care. Another 106 budget-funded places will be allocated to foreign citizens and priority will be given to citizens of Ukraine. The Cabinet on Friday approved the plans for admission to higher education financed with state budget funds for the 2024-2025 academic year, IPN reports.

Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun said that out of the total number of budget-funded places for bachelor’s and master’s degrees, 25% will be allocated for education sciences, while 1,648 places to candidates who will choose to study engineering and engineering activities, manufacturing technology, architecture and construction.

This year, the minimum admission grade for education sciences is 6.5. “At the same time, we will place greater emphasis on admission to the professions of the future – game design, animation and multimedia,” stated Dan Perciun.

For the first time this year, admission will take place exclusively online, on e-admitere.gov.md. The platform will be available from the first day of the admission period, July 22. The first stage of admission to universities will take place during July 22-29, while the second during August 10-14.
